So when you visit CityCamp Assens Strand, try a different experience with your family. Start in Assens, Glamsbjerg or Tommerup – simply return the rail bike to the same place you started.
From Assens, along the way you can enjoy views of Dreslette Church, Helnæs Bay and the old fishing village of Thorø Huse.
Track bikes are easy to pedal. There’s room for three adults or two adults and two children per rail bike, and you decide the speed. You have the option to ride all the way to Tommerup and back to Assens again, or turn the rail bike around along the way and head back home.
Along the course there are rest areas with tables and benches, so you can easily bring a picnic basket for the trip.
To ride a rail bike, you must be at least 15 years old, and to rent a bike you must be at least 18 years old. There are specific rules that you will be given when you rent the bike. Track bikes must always be returned to the starting point.
